Birkhoff library
- The library is non-circulating. Please do not take books out of the library, even to your office. Books can be removed *briefly* for photocopying. The Cabot library, on the first floor of the Science Center, has a much larger collection of mathematics books and journals that *can* be checked out.
- Please keep the library environment quiet at all hours. Do not use laptops or cell-phones in the library at any time.
- Books can be located onlineand in the library card catalogue. There is a Mac in the library for consultation of the online catalogue and related databases (e.g. Math Reviews). Please use other public computers for non-library purposes (email, etc.)
- Journals are shelved alphabetically by title. There is an alphabetized list of journals and a guide to their locations next to the card catalogue.
- The librarian is Nancy Miller who has her office 337 is in the library. Please see her for questions or to offer suggestions for books to purchase.
- If a book is missing from the shelf, please inform Nancy Miller. She will either locate the book, order a replacement or note it as "missing" in the catalog. Note that most of the books in Birkhoff have duplicates in Cabot.
